Saturday’s Project – The Mission Maxi Dress

So after seeing this dress on several blogs and absolutely loving it, I finally decided to purchase this pattern and give it a try!

This is the Mission Maxi dress by Jamie Christina, and it’s a great pattern, let me tell you! It took a little over two hours to cut and sew this dress, and because it wasn’t so time consuming, I’ll be making another one of these by the end of the week! Talk about comfortable…*snuggles dress*

Pattern: Jamie Christina Mission Maxi – View A

Fabric used: Denim jegging (April Johnston Project Runway Fabrics – hey, it has great stretch and it was on super sale at Jo-Ann. I will be back for more. lol!)

Size: I cut a size 4. Might try a 6 next time. Or not. ;)

Modifications: None

And because I love playing with pics over at PicMonkey:

I think I’ll try this dress in black next time!

Please forgive the photos, as this place does not have a lot of natural light, and I’m not going outside to take pics because I don’t want to scare the neighbors. Ha! I also came to the realization this morning that I’ve had this point and shoot camera for 6 years, and it’s definitely time for me to invest in a new one. It doesn’t capture detail nearly as well as I would like, so yeah…it’s time. I’ve just been procrastinating. ;) Hopefully before the end of the year. Cross your fingers.
