Our Home Bases
The rough plan: spend our first week based in Tokyo, then head to Osaka for the second week — with flexibility to explore wherever else catches our eye in between. Specific hotels are still to be determined, and we're open to suggestions! If you have a recommendation, drop it in the Forum.

Our base for the first week. Tokyo is massive and endlessly explorable — we'll want somewhere central with easy access to the JR and Metro lines. Neighborhoods like Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Asakusa are all great options depending on vibe and budget.

Hotel TBD
Our second-week home base. Osaka is Japan's food capital and a great hub for day trips to Nara, Hiroshima, and beyond. Namba and Shinsaibashi put us right in the middle of the action, but we're open to wherever makes the most sense.

Flexible Itinerary
Beyond Tokyo and Osaka, we're leaving room to explore. Day trips, overnight detours, or spontaneous stops are all on the table. Keep an eye on the Dates page as the itinerary takes shape.

Room assignments and any shared accommodation arrangements will be coordinated closer to the trip. Post in the Forum if you have preferences or questions.
